Elizabeth Sublette, M.D., Ph.D.

Dr. M. Elizabeth Sublette is Associate Professor of Clinical Psychiatry at Columbia University Vagelos College of Physicians and Surgeons and has been Director of the Research Clinic in the Molecular Imaging and Neuropathology Division (M.I.N.D.) for the past 10 years.  Dr. Sublette serves the Conte Center for Suicide Prevention as the Leader of the Clinical Evaluation Core 2.

Research Focus

Dr. Sublette’s research focuses on the neurobiological role of polyunsaturated fatty acids (PUFAs) and other inflammatory elements in mood disorders and suicide risk. She has used a wide range of approaches to characterize PUFAs in this context, including neuroimaging, genetic and epigenetic, and clinical approaches.
